Lucas Martynec is a composer, songwriter, pianist, and guitarist based in the greater Los Angeles area. He takes his inspiration from any music that is emotional or intense, including classical piano pieces, film compositions by the likes of John Williams and Danny Elfman, and extreme metal songs by bands such as Synestia and Shadow of Intent. Lucas has an Associate’s Degree for Transfer from Golden West College and is currently enrolled as a Music Tech major at California State University, Los Angeles.
Lucas’ performances and compositions center around classical and metal music. His metal music incorporates classical composition, and his classical music is often influenced by the unique harmonies and melodies of metal. Lucas’ education on the piano is classical, and he has been learning and playing music since he was three. He has played many nonprofessional shows including student recitals and local shows with his band Wings from Spine. Additionally, he has played four concerts as a member of Golden West College’s wind band under band director Collete Hausey, as well as two concerts as a member of Cal State LA’s concert choir under choir director Evan Roberts. One of Lucas's primary focuses is the composition of music to accompany visual media created by small artists. For instance, video game music, background music, and film scores. His ultimate goal is to support the community and build close connections on a person-to-person basis.
